If you know me, then you know Iām not one for running š This, however, is one of those occasions where even I cannot come up with an excuse. Asha for education works to provide support to projects in India that are focused on education. I have been actively involved with the Purdue Chapter for just over a year now.
What we do as a student group?
Our main contribution as a student group on campus is to conduct events to create awareness and raise funds to support these projects. Over the last year I have sold dosas and samosas, acted as a stage manager and now run! š
Where will your money go?
Since Asha is completely a volunteer run organization, all of the money we raise here will go to the projects we support. No donations are used towards our operational costs. We use university grant funds for any overheads we have, which are low to start with.
What am I running for?
This year Iām running to raise funds for Manasa, a non-profit voluntary organization working for the welfare and integration of intellectually challenged. They have done some very good work over the past year and we wish to support their endeavors.
